Well Casing

When drilling a water well, part of the process is setting the casing into bedrock. This casing is placed and cemented to keep contaminants and water from the surface out of your well water. Water well casing is placed anywhere from 80 feet to 400 feet deep.

How Deep Should Your Well Be?

Leave that to our team to determine. The depth required will depend on the purpose that the well is serving (residential, commercial, multiple properties, etc). Our team has drilled wells for all situations, so you can put your trust in our expertise and know that we will set the proper specifications to access all of the water you need. We drill deep enough to ensure that the resulting pump rate is sufficient and reliable.

Do You Need a Well Plugged?

If you are moving or no longer need access to an aquifer, you will need a team of professionals to close your well. Unused wells should be closed to prevent the possibility of groundwater contamination. Chemicals, bacteria, and other contaminants could end up in the water source via an unattended borehole. It is best to have the well properly closed and sealed by experts to limit any negative impact on the environment. Closing the well also prevents people and animals from falling in, where they could be hurt or trapped.

This process must be completed by a licensed contractor, as required by law. If you need to abandon a well, call us at (417) 723-8816.
